The loss to the Jets was excruciating. No TDs? We gotta' have a better showing this week against Atlanta. Falcon QB Matt Ryan returns to the Boston area where he starred at Boston College for 4 years. Tony Gonzalez is showing his worth already. The Falcons are 2-0 and playing well. We need this victory to get back on track again! Breakfast at the Tower Grille, and the Patriots on the big-screen.

ALSO: Added BONUS. The Sox are playing the Yankees at 10AM; we are going to see if we can get the game on the smaller TV (if we get enough RSVPs it shouldn't be a problem).

Are you ready for some football?? The Patriots open up on Monday Night Football (well, 4PM is hardly "night", but it is MNF) against the Bills and Terrell Owens. The Tower Grille will have the game on, plus the Raiders game at 7PM as part of the MNF double-header. Enjoy happy hour prices until 6PM ($1 off all drinks), and between 3-4PM you can get domestic pints for $1 and imports for $2 (so get there a few minutes before kickoff and order a cold one). The Patriots pummeled the Cardinals and have some real strong momentum heading into their last game. Unfortunately, even if we beat the Bills we'll need some help to make the playoffs! The Jets-Dolphins, and Ravens-Jaguars games are both on AFTER the Patriots, so we need to win and then root for either a Jets win (giving us the AFC East title) OR a Jaguars win (giving us a wildcard spot). Come out to the Tower Grille to root on the Patriots in what COULD be your last chance in the 2008 season! We need EVERYONE who is not back in Boston to come out and join us!

It was a WET but fun Sunday afternoon at the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum! The Patriots spanked the Raiders 49-26 to keep our playoff hopes alive! The Steelers helped us out by beating the Ravens, but we couldn't get help from the Niners vs. the Dolphins, nor from the Bills vs. the Jets. So it's up to the Patriots to go out and win their final 2 games and hope for the best (you would think that 11-5 would be good enough to make the playoffs!). Starting this week with the Cardinals, in Foxborough. Let's pray for snow and ice (won't affect us watching the game on TV, right?) as the warm-climate Cardinals won't like that. And they are coming off a drubbing of their own, 35-14 at the hands of the Vikings at HOME no less.
